hey betccccches
Do any of you have a flat iron that you just love? (something other than chi !)
I have VERY fine, delicate hair and am looking for a flat iron that is:
1) High end/ pricey (180 and up)
2) Adjustable temperature
any suggestions?

get the keratin treatment. stop frying your hair. duh
Posted on — ReplyI already do treatments a few times a year. Flat ironing your hair every once in a while wont fry it if you get a good iron..hence why i’m asking
Posted on — Replydo you ever worry about cancer? i used to love getting the brazillian blowout but now im too scared. thoughts?
Posted on — ReplyI get brazilian blowouts regularly. I honestly think the risks involved with getting one are minimal. I’d be more worried if I were a stylist who had to do them every day.
Posted on — Replyif you have fine *damaged* hair then your stylist would tell you that the keratin treatment would do more damage to your hair because the ironing and heat used to infuse the keratin fucks it up. sorry betch. lay off the iron and when it gets healthy, THEN maybe do a keratin..otherwise, just blowdry with a heat protecting spray
Posted on — Replyhahah seriously? this is the internet, and no one knows who I am, I have no reason to lie about the state of my hair. my hair is delicate not *damaged*. additionally, I don’t do keratin treatments, I do a five step deep condition. As much as I appreciate your advice, I’m pretty sure my hair stylist in Beverly Hills (Neil George) knows what’s best for my hair, and she doesn’t have a problem with me using a flat iron every now and then…thanks though!
Posted on — ReplyIf you have super fine delicate hair why exactly do you need to flat iron it?
It’s ridiculous how so many girls refuse to accept their natural hair. If you actually know how to take care of your hair properly, for 9 girls out of 10 your natural texture is going to look better than anything else.
Posted on — Replyyou sound smart about hair and I’m not - what products/hair care would you recommend for someone with thick hair, about boob length, wavy (not in hard-core curls but def not straight)
Posted on — Replyi use the FHI heat platform straightener. it goes up to 450 degrees F, and i’ve had it for 6 years and it’s worked beautifully. i want to say i paid like 150 for it? i ordered it through my salon, but i’m sure you could get it on amazon or something. also, to the girl above, chill. she wanted a good hair straightener, get off your high horse, i’m sure your hair is frizzy and sad, but it’s natural, so you think it’s all kinds of sexy. nope. do your hair ladies!
Posted on — Replybaby bliss pro is the best!! ive been using it for years. Ceramic porcelain one!
Posted on — Replyghd gold series. fucking duh.

Posted on — Replyi’ve heard of ghd! does it have a temperature control though?
Posted on — ReplyAgreed, GHD is hands down the best straightener out there…I’ve been straightening every day for the past 4 years and no joke I barely have any split ends and my hair is shiny. It’s great for naturally curly, frizzy hair…and no, it does not have a temperature control but that’s why it’s around $300, because the built-in heat setting adapts to your hair, depending on thickness/etc.
Posted on — ReplyI use a Sedu 1 1/2 inch straightener! It goes up to 460 degrees and leaves my hair super shiny. I wanna say it cost about $160?
Posted on — ReplyT3 wet to dry flat iron. I’ve had mine forever now and it is amazing. around 200 from sephora. I have fine really curly hair, and do brazilian blowouts on my hair every 3 months. this flat iron does a great job of getting y hair straight, but keep it shiny and soft.
Posted on — Replycroc…. theres nothing else to say. the CROC! you will never look back!
Posted on — ReplyAgreed x10
I’ve tried a bunch of different flat irons and ghd is amaze. definitely the best straightener and leaves your hair super shiny and sleek
Posted on — ReplyI knew a betch with fine straight delicate her and it was straight all by itself. It literally just fell into place…whenever she woke up. She didn’t have to do anything
Posted on — Replyfor sure use something ceramic, it does less damage. Love my Paul Mitchell
